People's Postcode Trust provide Funding for Refugee Integration & Employability Training in Hull

BrightSparks have received funding from the People's Postcode Trust to provide Integration and Employability training to 20 adult Syrian refugees who have recently resettled in Kingston upon Hull.

The training will take place between July - September 2017, offering the learners  6 days of training. Participants will gain skills and knowledge about the UK labour market and education system, as well as support to increase their confidence in their language skills and ability to contribute to the world of work/education.

This project will help to improve participants understanding and confidence of the local pathways into education, employment and training, resulting in them being better able to develop their skills and access employment. The project will also reduce isolation by bringing together groups of refugees in the communities where they live, which will lead to the formation of peer-to-peer support networks creating greater resilience and improved integration across the local refugee community.
