The course will provide a range of strategies to help adults to support children and young people to manage their behaviour

Topics include:

  • Acceptable and unacceptable behaviour, what is it and what do we do about it?

  • Why people behave like they do, exploring physiological and psychological developments, and the impact this can have on children and young people's behaviour

  • Rewards and sanctions

  • Dealing with challenging incidents

Who is this course for?

This entry level course is suited to anyone who works or volunteers with, or has children of their own and would like to feel more confident about managing their behaviour.

However, it is important to note that this course is specifically designed to focus on employability and volunteering within the children’s workforce and is not a parenting intervention project.

What's included?

This course is taught by two highly experienced tutors. Group sizes are kept small to make sure that all learners have the opportunity to ask questions and get the most possible from the course. Learners are also given resources to take away, and a certificate of attendance.
